steering gone tight
hi all just re mot'd my hdi 90 and it only cost 30 odd quid to get it sorted but i got a precautionary sheet saying my steering was a bit tight hadn't noticed until it was pointed out but when you come out of a junction and straighten up the steering wheel doesn't centre up like it used to it feels ...

cheers lads havent got a lot of patience for fiddly jobs so i think ill hold out for some leccy ones off down the scrappy now to see what else he's got

will have to investigate further gonna go to scrapyard take out a manual seat and see what sort of dog its gonna be if it looks nasty then i'll hang out for some decent leccy ones to do a straight swap will keep you informed ta

sorry lads my last post wasn't very clear i've got leccy seats in my 406 90 but the driver seat is covered in burns my local srappy has 2 406s in but they both have manual seats if i was to buy the manual ones is there any way to convert them to electric so that im not down grading my interior

thats what i mean get the manual ones off the scrappy and convert them to leccy ones using my old leccy seats will have a look at the old posts thanks

hi does anyone know if the electrics that move your seats can be used on manual seats cos my driver seat is covered in tab burns but my local scrappy has 2 4o6 s in with good seats but they are manual and he is cheap as chips so it would really improve my interior for next to nothing thanks

hi there , I bought mine for £800 51 plate ex lease car (so I'm assuming it will have had all it wants been under it over it all is tight and dry ) replaced cambelt kit always do, fitted towbar from scrappy £40 it's got 173000 on the clock and the only toy that doesn't work is passenger leccy window...

yeah i've just read it but the ecu disconnected has made such a difference i'm not sure i want to now it really is amazing gets too turbo range much faster doesn't drop so many revs on gearchange so no real lag hills no longer a chore and co. durham has lots will see what is like with trailer on the...

thanks for that will look into it price wise. Ive just done the 20 second mod and disconnected my egr made a hell of a difference nice one no fault codes yet

just bought a 406 hdi 90 51 plate glx 177000 on the clock but has been looked after lacks power on hills if i bolted on an intercooler would it up my horse power or can i chip it compression seems ok ive just done timing belt and the timing is spot on is lack of power usual on the 90 hp
