Re: Engine swap- anything I should know?

Hi, As mentioned I would do some basic engine checks first to assess damage before replacing the whole engine. If you do go the replacement route for whatever reason then please don't trust the mileage figure as most breakers will just make up a nice lowish mileage to make the engine a more attracti...

Re: WANTED - Sandvik SD7V16 1209 air con pump!

I have a Sanden SD7V16 pump but a different model number.

If you post your car details I can check if they are interchangeable.

Cheers,

Re: URGENTLY WANTED: Rear Brake Backing Plates (The Pair)

Hi, I have a pair for sale as no longer have a 406. The drivers side is remarkably good I would say. The nearside is not as good but still solid and very useable. Anyway £40 for the pair if any good to you. Cheers, Steve http://i838.photobucket.com/albums/zz306/Stenasev/QUADCORE/Photobucket%20Uploa...

Re: 406 wing mirror advice

I have already started the insurance process and am awaiting a quotation for the repairs. Every panel on the passenger side and both bumpers have bad damage so it needs a professional bodywork job doing. I'm sure the excess will be alot less than the cost of the repairs. The No claims will probably...

Re: Wheel help

Subject to correct PCD and offset as DDD has covered they will be a good choice for overall diameter as very similar to standard sizes such as 205/60x16 or 195/65x15. Thus no effect on speed or economy and speedo should read correctly.

Re: DPF removal - Not 406

Good grief. It's worrying that it isn't showing faults already. Siemens SID803 which I believe is a bench flash job. How old is the car and how many miles are on it? Hi, That was the state of the DPF when I bought it. It has since been knocked out. The ecu is being posted away on monday. I have onl...

Maybe all that smoke is the soot that isn't being caught any more  Which engine is it? Ha Ha. Quite possibly. It's the 2.0HDi 136bhp. Getting a remap along with DPF and EGR removal. DPF removal - Not 406

Hi, Just wondered what the symptoms would be of driving a car with the DPF physically removed but not removed from software. I have bought a 407 with a blocked DPF. I knocked the innards out and am sending the ecu away to have the dpf element removed. I took a quick test run after removal and it kic...

Re: new wheels

They will be a couple of inches more in diameter which means about an inch closer to bodywork and the car will be an inch higher.

Not sure what you are running now but thats compared to my standard estate size of 205/55x16.

The sensor location is circled in red. For reference the green circled area is the fan speed resistor.

Will PM you after this message.
