Re: AIR BAG warning light

After recently buying a D9 406 SV (top spec V6 here in Oz) I tried to establish its service history and contacted the dealer that had done the most recent service. He kindly sent me a copy which included the details that the Air Bag warning light was lit. The remedy was listed as removing connectors...

Re: a question for the 406 gurus

It would seem that they different names for different markets but after a quick check, I note that Servicbox lists them as Boreal so I am feeling at least partly vindicated!

Re: steering angle sensor

Yes I think you are all correct. I will have to have the fault diagnosed - naively perhaps, I am still hoping that there is a recalibration process to save me from extraordinary expense. I'll let you know what happens.

Re: steering angle sensor

Thanks for that. I don't think that it is down to a replaced and uncoded comm2000 as it was trouble free for a week or two. The talk about calibration on Aussie Frogs is interesting and seems consistent with other non-Peugeot posts I have read on similarly equipped BMWs and the like. Apparently whee...

steering angle sensor

Hi Guys, As in my 'Welcome' posts, I have just bought my first 406 which is a 2002 D9 with V6/Leather etc. It is designated as the SV here in Australia and has around 98,000 kms on the clock. When purchased I noted that the Mirrors and seat memory were non-functional and lived with it for a couple o...

Re: Another Aussie on Board

ESR is the stability control and no it was on before the reset - I had hoped that the reset would fix it too as the car has not gone into limp mode and feels unaltered. The switch is flashing on and off and the dash light is constantly lit plus I get the warning in the centre console screen each tim...

Re: Another Aussie on Board

Thanks Eoin and others. I have finally got around to doing my first BSI reset and I am pleased to report that seats and mirrors are working again. Unfortunately no such luck on the ESR/ASP warning light which remains lit. I might put a post elsewhere about that but I'm not sure whether it is 'electr...

Re: Another Aussie on Board

Many thanks to all of you for the kind welcome.

Apart from Peugeots my other interests include Mercedes G-Wagens. Currently 2 Peugeots and 2 G-Wagens. Talk about a masochist!

Anyway thanks again for the hearty welcome aboard.

Another Aussie on Board

Hi to all. I have just bought my first 406 (but 18th Peugeot out of 27 cars) and used this forum extensively in my research. I have bought a 2002 Build (D9) 406 SV Saloon (V6) with all options except for the sunroof. The vehicle has only done 98,000 Kms and arrived from Brisbane yesterday. Having bo...
