Re: Anyone replaced their crankshaft pulley? Easy job?

I have done this several times including on the Hdi90 last w/e. Never had a problem, just takes a bit of confidence. I cable tie the socket bar to the lower wishbone good and tight, make sure it's the right side! The crank nut is normal RH thread. Put you legs in the car,,,,just in case it does com...

Re: MFD Bulbs?

One thing I noticed when I did my MFD bulbs with LED's is because the LED bulbs are longer due to their design, then protrude into the MFD further and you can see them as spotlights on the display. I used just normal white LED's so I'm thinking of roughing the clear plastic ends to see if I can diff...

Re: Very frustrating fuel leak...

Finally found out where the leak was coming from.
Thanks to hammerman's post I found mine was coming not from the injection pump electro valve, but simply from the union coupling of the output of the fuel pump to the fuel rail.
Just needed less than 1/4 turn to tighten it up.

Very frustrating fuel leak... (Fixed)

Well I know I've got a fuel leak, the damn driveway keeps telling me! I know it's not brake fluid(no loss according the level marks), power steering fluid(no loss according the level marks and pinky/red colour) or coolant(bright orange/pink) due to it being green. So the last weekend or two I've bee...

Cambelt change: HDI 110 2.0

Hi Guys, Just looking for some advice into changing a cam-belt for a W plate HDi 110 2.0 Saloon model. I've currently got about 65K miles on my existing belt. I've sourced a few places including eBay for kits including the pulleys and belt (some including water pump as well). Any particular kits to ...

Re: ABS Reluctor Ring Replacement (aka ABS brake pedal judde

The judder effect you get when your reluctor rings are worn/broken teeth/not aligned is complete loss of braking control. Basically it skips the mini braking effect as described by Highlander and you feel for a short moment like your brakes have failed, thus forcing you to ram your foot on the brake...

Re: Clutch guide anyone?

Have a look in the howto section of this site - i'm sure some benevolent genius spent a great deal of time putting together a guide to clutch changing and would be distraught to see someone not even taking the time to use the search box to look for their work... LOL Priceless quote... For the lazy ...

Re: Weird electrical problems, but suspect Alternator

Ahh I see what you mean, well the battery is brand new as this was the first thing I changed when having all these issues two weeks ago.
It also comes with a 5yr warranty and cost me a pretty penny!
