FAO Northern Ireland 406 owners
Just wondering if any of you guys need or want a set of roofbars for your 406, seeing as my 6 has become a 7 I now have no more use for them. 20 squid and they are yours! I'm based in Mallusk but travel about the North quite a bit.

Coil Pack
Hey guys, As I was coming back from France my car stated to develop a st-st-st-stutter at low revs, thought it was the throttle position sensor and have since cleaned it and reset it, problem is slightly better but starting to think it is the coil pack giving up the ghost as the car was very relucta...

Re: Clutch change time?
My release bearing seized last Sept leaving a nice hole in my pressure plate, had it replaced with a cheap kit as i was thinking of replacing the car, 9 months later and the release bearing makes a lovely noise after the cars been driven for a bit, in saying that i did a 3000 mile round trip to fran...

Re: Manchester
You could try here, Ibis Charles St this is where I stay when over doing my Masters. It's fairly basic (breakfast not included) but quite nice, in the university area, (there is hotel/halls around the corner iirc around the same sort of money) and you're within walking distance of pretty much anywhe...

Re: 2.1 TD vs 1.8 Petrol
The funny thing with the car is that even when fully loaded, ( 5 people and 5 kayaks on the roof), approx 200miles only cost 20quid, though that was in the days when petrol was sub £1/litre. When I first got it i was doing well to get 300 out of a tank, which would imply that it's more down to my ri...

Re: 2.1 TD vs 1.8 Petrol
That's pretty good going. I think the best I got out of a tnak was 460 but that was driving with the light on for a while. One of these days i'll take my roofbars off for a full tank and see what difference it makes. Funnily when I service the car it takes it a while to get back to the 400 miles a t...

Re: 2.1 TD vs 1.8 Petrol
Thanks for the replies guys. Think this is going to require further investigation once I get home at the weekend. The reason i compared it to the 1.8 is cause thats what i have at the minute and have been keeping an eye out for a diesel to try and stop breaking my heart everytime I have to put £70 o...

Re: What would you change?
Horn is on the stalk and my interior is the same as the first one, though it appears to be missing my temperature gauge. I would love to switch over to a coupe but I don't think it would look the same with roofbars, lol. Just gonna have to wait till i have the money for two cars. A big one for kayak...

Re: BLOODY PIGEONS "Get out of the way"
I have to admit to taking out a wood pigeon with mine, stupid bugger just sat in the middle of the road, i slowed down it eventually took off into my bumper. Cue comedy moment of my friend who was following driving through a cloud of feathers laughing his a$$ off. In this case it was Pug 1 Pigeon 0,...

Re: What would you change?
Thanks for that, wont get confused again. Im really looking forward to seeing pics of visions car now!! Eoin I wouldn't get too excited, i don't think mine's the full on 8.5, that and there's hardly a panel that doesn't have a dent on it. None caused by me, might I add, I had the car a week before ...
