Re: I wish I never drove an Auto...

I would avoid the mk2 Mondeo auto at all costs, the box is notoriously weak, and has been known to go wrong every 60k

Re: Another bargain!

They did use the Plymouth Savoy in the film, the part of the film where Christine drives into Darnells garage after being on fire, you can clearly see she's a 4 door, bit of movie mistake trivia there :D

Re: One's gotta go :/

2001 Y plate

I sold it back to my father in law, I know I could probably of got more selling on Gumtree or ebay, although with 212k on and clocks that say 110k as I fitted trip enabled clocks from a tdci it might have put people off with the mileage being wrong

Re: I wish I never drove an Auto...

I know that feeling  autos do make you lazy as you just push the throttle and go

They make you lazy though and I don't know about you but I felt quite detached from the driving experience of going up and down the gears, my mate's 323 coupe was a semi auto and that was cool to drive

Re: One's gotta go :/

Ive had 5 mk2 Mondeo's and I agree that in my opinion they are better put together than the mk3, only thing to watch, especially now they are getting on a bit is the rear arches and sills for rot i had a mint V6 Ghia X, all the toys and lovely to drive, sold it for £700 (3 years ago) and still regre...

One's gotta go :/

Well running 2 cars is becomming a little bit of a strain on the finances, so ive decided to downsize to 1 car, so which is it going to be? Weighed up the pro's and cons and have decided to sell the Mondeo and keep the 406 :cheesy: Reason being the 406 is cheaper to run, insure and cheaper to fix if...

Re: Roylewaa's D8 2.1 TD GLX

Yes keeping my eyes out for some cheap alloys locally, with the 406 being a uncommon offset I might just settle for a set of standard Peugeot alloys with spacers if needs be couple more pics http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa410/Roylewaa/HPIM1555.jpg http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa410/Roy...

Re: Roylewaa's D8 2.1 TD GLX

The head unit in the 406 is my old Kenwood kdc bt8041u, It did have the tape deck and cd changer in the boot, however the display had gone on it and it would'nt read discs I did have a Sony DAB head unit in it (hence the dab aerial stuck on the windscreen) however I took it out and put that in the M...
