Red fluid is correct.. but also sometimes greeny colour which goes brown overtime..

I've changed racks on various cars, VW Polo, 205 GTi, Ford Focus and its not really that difficult a job. Go for it.. I jacked up car both sides and placed car on axle stands, removed wheels and did both sides at the same time. Adjusted up really well..

I now have 4-5 clicks to hand brake fully on, holding the car on a hill in neutral..

Will pass MOT now!!

Hi all Fitting new rear brakes and hand brake shoes tonight after getting 12% and failing MOT.. do I need to have both rear wheels off the ground at same time and loosen adjusters at the same time or will it be right if I do one at a time? Hopefully that's just bad track setting - you're supposed to turn both track rods to set it, so the steering wheel remains straight. Probably worth getting it checked out anyway, else it'll eat tyres. Mine has 178k, steering wheel slightly off centre.. ate through pair of fronts part worns way too ...
