out of curiosity, what is the haynes refering to when it talks about replacement of the upper left & right arms? the one where on the right side you have to cut the bolt out of the way of the subframe...

yeah, i read that, & thats the bit we think we can feel a bit of play in, but how come the haines calls that the tracking arm, and calls something else the suspension upper arm, but ebay calls them both the same thing??

my 1996 1.9 td has just failed mot because there is 'excessive play in the ball-joint of the offside rear upper suspension arm' having looked in the haynes for this & for the parts across ebay, the part on ebay is the same as the tracking control arm, which is the only one under there i can see with...

cant find these on ebay and google doesnt help much either

anyone know if they exist and if so, where they may be gotten from?

thanks mark, well i certainly dont feel any increase in acceleration until i hit almost 3000rpm, and even that's only a very slight increase... just had me head under the bonnet of a mate's 406 estate with the 1.9 td and have now heard the turbo spinning, mine is definately not making that whoosing ...

hi guys, first post, just bought a p reg 1.9td, and cant hear or feel the turbo kicking in (not that i know particularly what i'm listening out for but even revving it with me head under the bonnet, it just sounds like my old 306 1.9d, albeit somewhat louder) this whole cars-with-turbos thing is new...
