Central locking key fob thing.......
It works mostly, but......... if you press the button on the key fob everything opens, apart from the drivers door. Also if you just use the key on the passager door everything opens apart from the drivers door. Put the key in the drivers door and it will open everything including the drivers door. ...

trying to fix dad's car, 1999 glx 1.8, had it since 2003, has 63,000 miles which doesn't seem to bad

right, this is Dad's car, a 8\99 406 s2 with a 1.8 16v XU petrol engine. pretty much the problem is that the car doesn't seem to hold its idle, it just drops down and stalls, meaning you have to rev it all the time to keep it going. So I though it might be the Idle control Valve, took it off and gav...
