Re: Cruise or not ? UPDATED NEWS, Please some help.

Neither of mine have the relays under the bsi, but there are two beside the fusebox. However they appear to have different colour wires so they are probably not related.

I will try to get pp2k on the gtx before it's dismantled to far.

Re: Cruise or not ? UPDATED NEWS, Please some help.

By the way, do you know whats for that 2 sockets ? ( the blue and yellow one) My guess is that, that 2 colored things gets out of there and 2 relays attach in there .. but what's their function ? Maybe for the heated seats ? or for the cruise ? The cruise button or stalk needs any kind of relay ? S...

Re: Cruise or not ? UPDATED NEWS, Please some help.

It looks to me that you have got the switches that you need, but you haven't said if there is a switch on the clutch pedal. If the cruise control is working then it will operate while you are driving in 4/5 gears and above about 30 kph. The switch by your knee needs to be lit, the plus/minus will set...

Re: Ignition barrel, blower fan problem, is there a fix?

I suffered a similar problem on one of my D9 406s. There was a dodgy contact in the ignition switch that caused the casing to melt in the end. An early warning sign was that the key got hot if the fan was up high. You don't need to swap the lock/key if you act in time. The switch/wiring detaches fro...

Re: Photo opportunity!

Have you got room for another load of bits along with all the bits from your old Exec? :P I'm working on it. I'll grab pics when I take the headlining out. I've got the bars from the exec knocking about so I may grab a pic of those first. I seem to recall thinking that putting them back on may be f...

Photo opportunity!

I'm going to start stripping a D9 GTX estate in the near future. While I'm at it I have the chance to get some pics and I thought that if anyone can think of a job/area that needs pics to show access, removal or location, to improve a thread already in the knowledge base, or just your own curiosity,...

Any chance of putting pics up, or a description of what you did? I have the same issue with a friends car.

I'd rather sell them all to pay for the 407 repairs. :(

Re: Donor Car

Its tatty, inside and out. The 407 probably needs a new engine, I haven't had time to look.

Any one want a project 407?
