Re: Pfffft Dealers

Just thought i'd let you all know i would be getting the pug, as the sparky found out it needed a part that wasn't economically viable for the dealer to fit. They tried to palm me off with a Hyundai Elentra, but one quick look at that & i turned my nose up..... what a pile of crap that was... 1 year...

Re: Pfffft Dealers

They're not asking for any more cash, i'd have told them to get stuffed if that was the case. I'm ex trade myself, so know how they work  UPDATE... Just off the phone with the branch manager & they've got an autosparky coming in to check it out tomorrow. If he can't sort it or it's gonna be to...

Re: 2.0 110 HDI - Smokey...!

All diesels smoke a little from time to time, is it excessive ? If so, check to see if your airfilter is filthy, if it is, renew it. Failing that, change the fuel filter, pour a bottle of injector cleaner into the fuel tank & give it a good blast in 3rd gear on a quiet section of road. Let it rev as...

Re: 2lt HPi Timing Belt

Cool, it's got a wee while to go then. I am a time served mechanic, but it'll go into a garage to get done, even though i can do my mondeo td belts quick enough, there's no come back if i make a balls up  I have a contact in the part dept in our local stealers, so i should get a discount on the...

Re: Clutch Pedal sticking down

The pedal return spring is only there to bring the pedal back to the same height every time it's released.

I'd def start with the slave cylinder & take it from there & i can't see it being the master cylinder seal as you would be loosing fluid

Re: 306 brake question

Huh, don't talk to me about Peugeot clutch cables  I had a 309 years ago that had an appetite for cables, to the tune of 2 per month. Thinking it was a pressure plate problem, i changed the whole clutch assy, but it never cured it strangely :frown: Sold the car on soon after to some nice ch...
