Re: youtube
Check out this 306 GTi at the Nurburger Ring  Holy crap. I would not like to have to share a track with him! Ridiculously, dangerously aggressive driving. Tuned up a shitbox, bought a helmet for posing, but didn't bother to buy a cage, seat, harness, suspension, decent tyres and he's...

In less important news, YoyoII got serviced today, with new summer tyres shoved on 880 squirrels a piece (about 100 quid), No experience of Incontinentals but the reviews put them marginally better than the other rubbish available here. All dated this year, surprisingly. I'm in the process of getti...

What about people who needlessly stop ON roundabouts to let someone else on in front of them

Guessing it's an exercise in making Polestar look better by excluding it from this limitation

Re: Just bought another 406 estate!
I have a Merc now with a foot operated parking brake which I think is the same system and that's not much better. Mine's got that thing too, truly awful ain't it  Mine's both utter crap at holding, but also really doesn't like releasing either, so I end up driving one-handed for the first half...

Re: Fuel choice for your next car?
Diesel - dead. also stinks. Petrol - the fuel of the gods Hybrid - possibly in the future, I quite like the look of the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo (takes breath, Germans like long names don't they!). I like fast estates... At an eye-watering £150-200k new it won't be for a good...

Re: How many forum users still actually drive a 406
My coop got exported as soon as I'd sold it (for an absolute pittance  ). 1999-2013 with 190k on the clock. It was in great shape, but I know that every few months it'd need yet another thing doing. Pretty much a common thread for nearly all my 406s apart from the tubby estate which stubbornly ...

The parts cost was pretty high to me - I'm certain the parts and labour on the Coupe was less for all four corners (4x shocks, 4x springs, 2x front top-mounts). The £900 today was just on the fronts. and the backplate, which'd be a dealer-only jobbie. About £300 for a pug iirc - although they stopp...

Re: ROLLING COAL
The idea's generally to punish cyclists for daring to use their roads. If done right, the cyclist will either crash, resulting in financial loss and a potential hospital damage, suffer from mild to strong hypoxia from holding their breath for extended periods with an elevated heart rate, or just get...

Quite a few bimmers including the E39 5-series have batteries in the boot. And the V8s have a back-breaking BEHEMOTH of a battery!
My 540i touring was so easy to sell on it started a bidding war on ebay which ended quite a bit north of what I paid for the car!

Re: Fuel (diesel) woes.
My memory of pug things is bad, but I'm almost certain you should read engine RPMs while cranking. Crank sensor fault will absolutely kill a car dead cos it doesn't know when or on which cylinder to fire up the injectors (and coils on petrols)... Try the wiring before faffing about replacing the sen...

I had to part ways with my 15 year old Ben recently. He's been really depressed the last couple of years - new house, lost his brother and sister, scared of the dog, utterly petrified of the kid... We took him to my parents' late summer to look after while we went to Germany for a bit, and when we c...

Most of it's quite fair really, however now if you fail on low tread depth, you're not allowed to drive it to a tyre place.
