Diesel temp sensor fault
Hi Just had the codes read on my 52reg 90 HDI. It had 2 codes come up for the fuel system. They were wiped and then only 1 retured which was 'B+ Fuel Temp sensor open circuit' I understand that this could be either the sensor or the wiring. Where is this sensor, is it easy to change and what do they...

Steering knock
Hi I've got a knock that comes through the steering. It only happens when I'm on full lock and it is a single knock, not a cv click or anything. It is most noticeable when I reverse off the driveway and then pull away with full lock on. Suspect track rod end? Or something in the steering rack? Cheers

Over senistive ABS
Hi The ABS on my 2002 HDI 90 seems to be very over sensitive. It kicks in a the slightest bump in the road. I have changed the front discs as they were warped and that has helped a bit as the judder used to kick in the ABS. I noticed that the teeth on the CV hub that pick up the ABS sensor are very ...

HDI Remap for economy, not power. Anyone do it?
Hi
Does anyone know of a company that does remaps for 90bhp Hdi (siemems injection system).
I'm after economy rather than power - although a little more poke is always welcome.
Anyone got long term experience of remaps with regards to reliability?
Cheers

Can you disconnect EGR on HDI 90?
Hi All
Can you disconnect the EGR on a HDI 90 (Siemens MY 2002)?
Plan to have a look and see if I can replace one of the gaskets in the pipework with a bit of tin so blocking the exhaust gas but leaving everything else working.
Anyone done it any other ways?
Cheers

Re: Better MPG at 70 than 55, dodgy EGR???
Hi Cheers for the reply. Is cleaning the EGR a git as all the exhaust manifold is right up against the bulkhead and it looks like double jointed wrists will be required. To clean the MAF - is it just a bit of wire that is heated up? Can I do it with a tin of spray cleaner? The cable to the plug coup...

Better MPG at 70 than 55, dodgy EGR???
Hi I have a 2002 406 90bhp Hdi 72k. I get about 50mpg at 70 and low 40's at 55. It does have a bit of a flat spot on light throttle between 1800 - 2200 rpm, but fine on full throttle. Could this be a sticking EGR valve? Can you blank the EGR off as i was thinking of putting a blanking plate in place...
