Re: heated seat switches.. wiring up
If it's any help i think the heater wires were orange/dark brown, i left them tucked up in there somewhere. when i got the seats in the first place they'd already been chopped from whatever they were connected to before

Is the steering wheel a leather rimmed one Jay? if it is then how much. i'd also be interested in a 15" spare wheel.

Re: cleaned again.. with tints and lowered :D
Welton panels a bit of chrome coloured trim that slots below the grill badge on the top of the bumper- so named as Welton was the only one at one point that seemed to have it. Should be in the accessories book at Pug

Re: 2001 Y Peugeot 406 HDI 90 Rapier £1450
maybe interested but a few quick Q's
does the air-con work?
has the bottom pulley been changed?
were there any other advisories on the last MOT?
how much is the tax on these as my last one was capacity based not emissions?

Re: 306 brake question
not a bad idea to change the cable regardless, they run very close to the exhaust on 306's and dry out in record time- i've never driven a 306 with a light clutch yet but it does make them more bearable. the trick thing to do at the moment is wrap the new cable in that sticky heat shield tape.

Re: Range on a full tank of fuel (hdi engine)
I was amazed when my first full tank went in excess of 800 miles before the light came on, bearing in mind i'd come from a 306 DT with a 59 litre tank which mangaged just over 550 to a tank. my own personal best in the 406 HDi was 910 miles and the range gauge was showing ---- miles so it was pretty...

mine had the same trait but i never got around to sorting it, like the captain i just learned to live with it and it even became a subconcious habit to pull the pedal back up after a while

Re: Back in the day
I didn't used to think much of Pugs in general. In 1995 i was on a pushbike (which i still have after 17 years so far) and my dad had a Renault 19 and it was the 1.7 TXE version at that. quite a tasty car in it's day. I got a shot once when i was 13. I remember my horror when he was talking of tradi...
