Re: BSI software and functionality enquiry!

Yeah there are problems with the interface as well. But some chinese clones are actually ok. There are problems with the software too [version 21], clone version. The facilities it has are limited.

Re: BSI software and functionality enquiry!

Clone version doesn't have as many features as the proper version. Also can't be updated.

Re: BSI software and functionality enquiry!

Also, be wary when programming with clone software, its very unstable. People have corrupted BSI's and ECU's because of it, due to it crashing.

Re: BSI software and functionality enquiry!

You'll need to fit the parts [if you have the wiring], enable it in the BSI and if you can go onto ECU listed and enable the alarm one. The alarm ECU is in the BSI, but enabling it as a individual ECU allows you to analyse faults better.

Re: 2nd hand bsi

Yes, if you have a COM2000 it needs to be enabled in the BSI and Engine ECU

Re: Cruise or not ? UPDATED NEWS, good news, retrofit possib

If you can see any numbers on the wires, I can try and search them in the database if you want?

Hello - newish

Hi, I've been on this forum a while, but never really introduced myself. I don't own a 406, but I know a bit about Peugeots, and I have a lot of things to my disposal. I do fault code reading and DPF removal as a hobby, so if anyone wants any advice I'll try my best to answer it. Also if anyone want...

No worries mate :)

I used your VIN number from the other thread as well, so that is the diagram for your exact build code ;)

Hopefully will be trying to fit this to a 206, and will be the first in the UK :D

Re: timing belt

Yes get the water pump changed.

That is seriously over priced though.

I supplied the parts and peugeot charged me £170 labour. Parts cost about £80 I think

Re: 2nd hand bsi

Only thing you can do, is if you are wanting to fit a new ECU. You can remove the IMMO coding so it works with any BSI. But the problem then is that you don't have an immobilser any more. So if you are wanting 2nd hand, you want to get the ECU, BSI and transponder. And try to get the VIN number as w...

That's what I thought when I looked at it and printed it off.

The reason I'm looking at it, is because I want to fit it to a 206 and was seeing if the 406 shares similar things.

Found this topic, and just thought I'd put the wiring diagram up to see if it helps any of you :)

Re: key syncing

If its not the original key it needs to be recoded.

If it is put the key in the ignition, and turn the ignition on while holding the lock button on the key for about 10 seconds
