Re: Tyres

Tried the garage next to work out of curiosity, plus the car needed an MOT Asked about Hankooks but they said they had difficulty getting them. Anyway, did me a deal, and for the MOT and 2x Avon ZV5 215/55/16V Xload tyres, the bill was £188, so pretty pleased with that, as on Blackcircles IIRC the ...

Re: New Renault parts

The body has 2 mounts at the top, and one at the bottom. The bolt at the bottom has fell out, putting the stress all across the top, and split it right under the 2 mounts. Was half tempted to buy some Q-Bond, and bond it back together, and see how it goes, but if it doesn't work, then i'll be there ...

Re: Tyres

I've bought part worns in the past, but since having kid(s) in the car, I've been buying new ones as a rule.
I did look on the bay at the price of some part worns, but price seemed steep relative to new ones.

I'll check out some of the options mentioned later as off to Lincoln in a mo

Re: New Renault parts

Jasper - Nothing listed, but might be worth a phone call still :)

Lozz - was thinking with plastics going brittle over time, it would be better to get a new one for the sake of £25ish

New Renault parts

My dad's Laguna II 1.9DCi had a fuel injection fault come up on the dash and went into limp mode. Doubted I could do anything as thought it would be electronically elated. However, took a look, and the throttle body has snapped in 2. Seems one of the 3 securing screws fell out, and the stress cracke...

Re: Haynes museum, 22nd September 2013

Couldn't run the mondingo there, couldn't afford the fuel. Anyone fancy a detour for beer tokens  Dave, if I'm going direct from home, I'll pick you up. (I may be stopping the night before at my daughter's in Hemel, Mrs Doggy hasn't decided yet). - if anyone else wants to offer, go ahea...

Re: Is Miss Pug dying?

Yeah I agree .. it will be just the gasket that's fubard. Iwouidnt worry to much.. I'd use a rag wrapped round a screw driver to soak up the oil to save it going into The pots .. I do hope you are all right, She can't die, she can't go!! A friend of mine said it would be signs of a head gasket goin...

Re: 130 car pile up in Kent today

I was taught when I was younger not to drive faster than you can see
Obviously something overlooked these days.

Usually less of a problem when driving my lorry stuck at 55 :cheesy:
