Re: MPG?

hahahaha, that's about right then! I shall take the air filter out and see what sort of state that looks to be in. If it looks clean, i'll drop a bit of the oil out and see how fresh that looks, if they look a bit mucky, I'll service it myself and leave the service spanner light as is! What are the ...

Re: MPG?

Ok that's fair enough. rather than starting more topics, can anyone answer: Why are there two buttons on the dash by the clocks? I know one zeros the trip, but what's the other do? Also, when I put the key in, it displays a spanner which I can only assume it relates to a service, but it also display...

Re: D9 Estate speakers....

I've changed the components in the front doors over, but what my question now is, where is the crossover for these and the tweeters? (assuming there is one?). I want to put the Audiobahn tweeters in the dash, but when I took the old ones out, they look as if they may have the crossover built inline ...

MPG?

My car is the 90hp 2.0 hdi model..... I seem to be getting 500 miles to 65ltrs. Roughly 35mpg. I only drive this car in the evenings mainly, where it is normally driven for only 5-10miles, and stops for 2-4 hours, then drives back again. (not the best economical driving I know). But is it worth serv...

Re: D8 Foglight installation

True points from both of you!

Prefer the second suggestion tbh, after spending a small fortune at Pug, I'd rather not risk adding anything else on to their electrical systems.... I'd prefer to fuse and relay them on their own circuit as you have suggested. Something for the summer months maybe!

Re: No wipers, f+r, no centrel locking... all failed at once

Well they did the BSI, as in tested the car, confirmed it was the BSI, replaced the BSI and whilst it was in there they fitted a new door rubber to the sill of the passenger side, as it had fallen off and looked horrid just hanging around on the floor....

Total bill £559.34. inc the dreaded.

Just for the future search aids... It was the BSI!!

Bloody expensive thing that was too.

Re: D8 Foglight installation

Is this a worthwhile mod? If so, is it capable of being done to a d9 (and as straight forward)? Or am I going to be told that it is, if I sell mine for a d8? again!!

Re: D9 Estate speakers....

Like your thinking, good suggestions too. I shall have a look into that. I've got some Audiobahn components left over from an old project too that I've just found, so hopefully they may squeeze in the fronts. I wonder if there's any room in the rear doors for a similar cut and shut approach to getti...

D9 Estate speakers....

Right, I've owned this car since I sold my Legacy GT. The Legacy was an estate also, but the sound quality was so much better, and I mean SO MUCH BETTER! It had the stock speakers that were fitted in 1994. Basically 2 pairs of components. I am bitterly disappointed that 6 years after Subaru made thi...

Re: trip computer installation

Okay, I've just read this thread.... I have a D9, if I've read it all correctly, you can just get an indicator stalk with the button on the end, a temp sendor for the n/s mirror, and connect a few wires from the ecu to the dash etc, and that's it? A fully functional system? (or am I missing somethin...

Re: No wipers, f+r, no centrel locking... all failed at once

Funnily enough, it was fine all the way there.... but as soon as they tested it it all went wrong. (lucky it did whilst it was there really). Results from their test shows the bsi is indeed shot. So it's now a case of waiting for them to get a new one in and fit it etc. Not cheap, but if it'll last ...
