Do you think the engine would fit onto the gearbox then? I can see it would need the exhaust manifold and the ECU but maybe the loom should work? No? Stupid idea?

I'm just wondering if the 406 V6 engine will fit into a standard D8 car that had a 4cylinder engine?
I have a 96 406 ST with a blown engine and there's a V6 engine for sale. My car has the 5 speed manual box.

It's strange, I thought I might have been the author of your last post. I replaced that compressed stainless thing with new springs and bolts about a year ago.[the kit] But of late it gets that leaking exhaust noise when under heavy acceleration and I wonder if that thing has chopped out again so so...
