2000 406 HDi 110 with a plastic ring, done loads of fuel pumps at work just cant bloody do the one in my own car its doing my head in!


Cant even get the ring to go on with no pump in at all, i think my tanks buckled... IIRC 206s have a similar problem

Anyone else had a right ballache refitting it? Cant get mine to go back in, tried a new ring too and still no joy, justs swerves off on the piss and wont tighten, got a feeling my tanks buckled/imploded...

Anyone able to cut a complete nearside sill out of a scrapped 406? I;ve dented mine and its not pulled out too great so i'm just going to weld in the skin from another one as the main dealer wants a horrendous amount of money for a new one

just fitted my regular stereo due to the volume button not working on the OEM clarion unit, now i find the new stereo stays on for around a minute with the ignition off which sucks, tried swapping various wires and looking on the manual and searching online but no luck, anyone got any ideas?

Whats wrong with the original to need a revised one? Got me worried now!

I've gone and brought a car with canbus? Eurgh thats gonna be nothing but a headache! Spent far too long working on CANBUS at college last year it sucks!

I take it theres just the one plug? Thats not got any sublooms further back or owt? all seems plugged in fine, light PCB is plugged into the other PCB too

Took the clock/radio display/rip computer out earlier with the engine on and suddenly all 3 lights in it have stopped working, am i missing something obvious?

Just ripped my display out as there was some mention of a switch on the side of the display, unfortunately cant find this so dissasembled the display and now none of the bulbs in the display work! Have i killed something?

It is an HDi
I dunno what the hells in it i;m too lazy to lift the bonnet and check - yes i am a mechanic worrying isnt it!
