Re: Veg Oil in an HDi??

I post on vegoildiesel all the time. I really would not recommend putting any SVO in a HDI let alone 30%.

Yes it will run, but it doesnt do the engine any good. 100% SVO will kill the engine in a couple of months.30% just prolongs the process.

Re: We all love 406's but what do you hate about them?

Mines done 214000 miles and the clutch is good. The gearbox is certainly better than my old 405, and the handbrake is excellent, however it has a lot of sideways movement  . Most annoying things for me are the poor electrics. Currently im driving home in the dark with just sidelights  ...

Thanks for that. Looks like it may just be a loose connection then. Oh well that rules that out. I would much rather its a sensor than the turbo.

Right basically ive ran SVO for over 10 years now. HDI's are a big no no. There are many reasons, but ring gumming is terrible in them. Xud's are fantastic though. As cheap as Waste veggy oil is i dont bother with it. Once its been used without going into detail the characteristics of oil changes an...

Drove it into work today./ 25 miles over steep hills. Took ages  Basically the car is no faster if I put my foot to the floor, or just touch the throttle lightly. Also at some point I had a warning light come on for a few seconds. It was an engine with a K in the middle??/ Will have a look toni...

Well basically its very reluctant to rev past 3000. There is no smoke, the car doesnt overheat etc. I even looked at the possibility of taking the turbo off and doing away with it.

Normally when a car is exposed to UV in the sunlight it changes colour. A mostly garaged car will be a lot darker than one left in the street.

Oh and forgot to say. The reason I keep having cars with the XUD engine in is because im not a great mechanic and they are just soo reliable. It then leaves me time to spend with my family and my Skoda collection.
