Re: D8 & D9 bonnet differences
It's been a long time but I think it's as easy as D8's have two bonnet catches while D9's only have one.

Re: 406 RFR engine jerks between 1850-2300 RPM
Hello. Umm, I think I'm going to go for the o2 sensor, if it's getting no feedback the ecu falls back on a fixed map which won't take into account stuff like engine loads, like going up a hill or whatever. I'm surprised it's not throwing a MIL, but if it is disconnected you won't know if this is the...

Re: Central locking weird issue
Hullo, I remember my (admittedly full-mux) D9 playing dead once, stop & restart cleared it like yours. Dunno, could be related, maybe something's got wet over winter, or maybe just the driver's door lock switch has collapsed or the wiring is waiving about. It's a pain to get the panel off but I thin...

Re: What have I done? Broken horn or airbag connector
Hello and welcome! :cheesy: Umm, ARGH! Safety restraint stuff is always orange on a D8 so yes, you stuffed it up big time I'm afraid. I'd think it could be re-soldered, needs a steady hand and maybe you'll need to solder some extensions in there, hopefully you can get the polarity right (probably do...

Re: Immobiliser key pad + interior fuse box on 1997 estate
Hiya, Hmm, that doesn't sound normal. Admittedly I have no experience of the keypad, a search ("keypad" not "key pad") just says get it running & unplug it, no mention of pressing buttons on the fob so I wonder if someone's done something "interesting" :? The release is that black screw above button...

Oh yes, let me take his opportunity to doff my hat to you for running a now 27 year old 406 turbo, I suspect they're getting pretty rare now

Re: Dipstick for 1997 2.0 petrol turbo (XU10J2TE)
With PSA parts id's (usually) the first 4 characters are a type of part, the last 2 are a specific part (wanna dipstick for a 2.1td? It's part # 1174.31). In a search engine the 22 is coming up with a range of 2.0 na petrol engines, the E2 just brings up a 2.0 turbo in Pug, Cistern and (eww) Fiat fl...

Could the 2 perhaps be related? That's splendid news, another year of probably PSA's last good car.
Yeah, I miss mine too, kind of, then I remember how painful it was when I put my back out It's still going strong anyway, I see it regularly, now heading towards 200,000km.

Hi Jonny. Umm, I'm well out of the loop these days, no more Pug sadly (my bad back said so) and Pug threw us under the bus by ending free access to the parts catalogue so I've kind of lost the plot. Hello chaps! I'm still about, although most of the time I start replies and.... you know. Pug looks good, dry stored? What, like on purpose? Late car should be a ZF I do believe, should be ok. Ditching it and getting the ecu to cooperate, hmm, might be easier to get ecu, bsi etc. from the breakers (...

Stellantis? Stela something, umm, Steal a stalactite? :? having only covered 4k miles since I bought it 1.5 years ago That sounds like us, since the dreaded lurgy and ditching the buddy that wanted to go to a bar 3 times a week, the yoyo is only doing around 4,000km a year. We could almost do withou...
