Re: We all love 406's but what do you hate about them?
Parking - it's too big! It's the first 'grown up' car I've ever driven, I cant park the f*cker. My estates are about 4,7 meters long, my (joke on wheels) Ni$$an was over 5, as was The Bishop, but I've been driving things like Tranzits for many years so these things are a doddle. You can buy afterma...

Re: Think i need a new clutch, what should i be paying??
My 2,1 and the 2,0 HDi have hydraulic clutches (almost the same gearbox too AFAIK), I have no problems engaging reverse, unless I get too keen and try shoving it in before the layshaft stops spinning - crunchy! I did read 406's had horrible gearchanges, I seem to have lucked out on that one! :cheesy...

Re: 406 suspension
Ride is all down to personal preference, I find mine fine on the rubbish roads they have here, it handles ok but I don't get whiplash going to the supermarket, so I wouldn't mess with it. TBH it's a bit weird you reckon your 4 year old car needs new suspension, unless it's got intergallactic mileage...

Re: Heater Matrix
Mine seemed to be taking it's time the first winter, in traffic ok but on the move nothing but cold air, so I changed the thermostat. Or would have changed it if it hadn't been MISSING All problems solved after one fitted.
