Only get better miles if you drive like miss daisy. 206's are also poor, very very poor.
I owned a brand new 1, 03 plate for 3 yrs. I had 2.0 HDi 90bhp. I got more MPG in a 406 2.0 HDi 110bhp.

Pointless nonesense posted above. You're hardly gonna save any money changing from a 2.0 HDi to a 1.4 HDi.

Some bodge from Halfords, some paint and a light will sort that out. No big deal at all.

If its just the case you need, then no need to get a key cut. Just swap the insides inc key to the new key fob.

Should of kept with it for a few weeks or a month at least. You'd then benefit of a nice running quieter diesel which saves you money.
I've done about 2,000 miles on my 406 with Veg, and its running sweet, very very quiet, far quieter than when it was on diesel.

It got me from a Hotal in France to a hotel in Italy via Swizz, and Italy to hotel in Spain, then back home again. Absolutely perfect, couldn't fault it at...

I normally start and drive off, but over winter I started it, left it on idle while I cleared snow off my drive.
