Put in the usual 4 1/2 litres oil and do varied journeys. Car used daily to work 12 miles each way. If take the breather off, do I need to drain oil from sump first?

Undid the oil filler cap and noticed a bit of blue smoke coming out under quite a bit of pressure. Never used to have any pressure when i'...

Hi
i recently did my fuel filter exactly as per your sequence and all ok. Your problem must be elsewhere.

Only way is to set control to feet only, close all face vents and whack fan upto Maximum. Then I get a modest amount coming through. Can a vent be blocked or a flap locked up or someth...

Cap works so just going to leave it with the light on. Thanks for replies.
Love that posh multifunction display warning message though. Should be standard.

Re: Fuel filler cap light
I have a 2000 HDi 90 Rapier. Found out about the hook on the flap when reading manual afterwards trying to suss out the dash light! I'd never noticed it before.
Can't see nothing electrical around the cap. Think i'll just live with the light on.

Fuel filler cap light
Recently left filler cap at garage after fill up. Only noticed the next day that dashboard warning light on (top left end of dash and hidden by steering wheel). Found a replacement cap on ebay. It fits perfectly but dash light remains on. Any ideas why light still on, or how i can turn it off?? jim

''its only the estate you need to remove the tank and exhaust to get to it, it just fits through the top on the saloon'' You don't need to drop the tank+exhaust to get to the lift pump on Estates. Just replaced mine today. You get at it from under the back seat, from inside the car. Bloody tight fit...
