Re: 406 HDI,starts but won't run
Have you replaced the pump in the fuel tank with a new or 2nd hand unit? The problem you describe is exactly the same as when my pump started to fail if you have a 2nd hand one maybe thats at fault.

Hi fit new pump and spilt a bit of the old claret along the way.
Car now runs again as it did.
Also car did realize it had been fixed and engine warning light went off.
Thanks for your hammer and screwdriver advise

Re: HDI lift pump removel
if you look at the ring it has got like plastic vanes all the way around it think they are to help you unscrew it, what i did was get a very blunt screwdriver and small hammer and tap at these vanes until it started to move i then used a cheap pair of very wide jaw mole grips the sort they use to un...

Re: Driving to Mainland Europe - Headlights
When you buy any set of beam benders it will tell you how to fit them if you look at the clear plastic lens on the headlight you will see a small dot thats the point of contact for the beam bender. When waiting at the docks in Dover i asked a bunch of coach drivers why they did not have beam benders...

Re: Where is the auto rain sensor
Hiya folks
Been looking at my sensor noticed it lights up when stalk pushed up into first position but after about 10 secs the amber sensor lights turn off. If i put my hand over the sensor the wipers sweep then the system shuts itself off again.
Any ideas anyone please
Regards
Andy
