Nice rubber mats?

So... I have just been cleaning the big old bus. Its currently got a mismatch of rubber mats in there. I would like a full set of decent quality fitted ones. Do Peugeot still make, or indeed have sitting on a dusty shelf somewhere, rubber mats for the older xars? If not, any recommendations? I bough...

Re: Front strut bearing replacement

I'm constantly staggered by how well designed everything is, having had various VAG cars in the family. Proper nuts and bolts and all sensibly fitted.

Re: Wheel balancing

Ah, thanks for the insight! Glad it's not just one bad garage making excuses because they can't be bothered ... I've had a truly terrible experience before when I took another car in for alignment and when I went to collect it the chap reckoned the camber was fixed. "No, just slacken those two bolts...

Wheel balancing

MrsSE has taken Pugsley for some new shoes, all booked and paid for. I'm only getting this second hand so don't know the details, but she's apparently been told that you can't balance the wheels on a normal balancer. They're the standard 15 inch alloys... Something to do with the solid centre meanin...

Re: Front strut bearing replacement

Just an update on this - all new bits fitted, the car now sits flat and drives even better. Not bad for a morning's work (and a quick trip to the garage to get the springs compressed and fitted... My word they're enormous). :D

Re: Front strut bearing replacement

I've started this on both sides. Both struts are off (and my word the springs are large)... The metal cup that the top of the spring sits into is well past its best. Are new ones available? Ive dug about Autodoc and similar to no avail... For clarity the part that sits between the spring and the bea...

Plastic/ chrome trims - estate vs saloon

So. My mission to tidy up the new bus continues. The side trims are in shocking state. I see there are replacements available from that there Europe... Are they the same on saloon and estate?

Re: Morning all!

Well, 500 mile round trip in mostly the sort of weather that has Noah breaking out his Workmate... Absolutely terrific car, I feel I'm a little late to the party. When Peugeot let the engineers design the cars!

Morning all!

Good morning from a wet and miserable Santa Pod! Picked up our new-to-us 2001 2.2HDI GTX estate two days ago, no pictures because its raining sideways... Bought it on Thursday, by Friday morning it was packed to the gunwales with camping kit and on it's way South. I have fallen in love with it alrea...
