Re: Driver side door sometimes not unlocking from the remote key

when I put my key into car and tried to unlock it unlocks and locks just fine. I suspect that's what Frog means by operating it manually. Hopefully it is just stiff and soaking it in WD (or similar) will sort it out. Other than that the solenoid might be on its way out or there's an electrical faul...

Re: Driver side door sometimes not unlocking from the remote key

But the center lock works just fine. What do you mean with "center lock" if the door does always unlock when you operate (or "help" operate) it mechanically, I think the mechanism needs some oiling, e.g. with ample WD40. Center lock works means, when I put my key into car and tried to unlock it unl...

Driver side door sometimes not unlocking from the remote key

My 406 has some wired problem where sometimes driver side door won't unlock with remote key but lock is working. But the center lock works just fine. If the key is put into door it will unlock and lock without any issue.

What could be the issue?

Floppy gear lever, not engage to reverse

I gave my car to my brother and seems he broke my Reverse  and I don't know what he did. Anyway, gear leaver is now floppy and wobbly in neutral and forward gears working. But don't engage to Reverse. Is this something I can fix or do I need to take this to a repair shop? My car is a 1999 Peuge...

Re: Left fender signal light not working

Do the hazard lights work? These are a different circuit, and should bypass the Comms unit and feed the bulbs more directly. If they work with the hazard lights, then it's possibly a Comms unit fault ( if your car is produced after the year 2000 ) or an indicator stalk issue if you have an earlier ...

Peter
I'm in the country with no Winter. Anyway keeping in fresh air mode seems to be the better idea then.
Thanks.

Re: AC Recirculation flap not working. Should i keep it as recirculation mode or fresh air?

When I got one of my earlier 406s, the recirculation flap was broken and the previous owner kept it closed. Please bear in mind that the car was used as a taxi in Birmingham, possibly for food deliveries too - the smell inside the car was potent to say the least... I shortly after buying the car de...

My 406 is 1.8 L6A engine. My left side fender indicator not working front and back and right fender lights are okay. Seems no power to the connector any suggestions to fix the issue?

AC Recirculation flap not working. Should i keep it as recirculation mode or fresh air?

I have 406 with L6A 1.8 engine. I noticed that my air recirculation flap is no longer working. I have removed the glove box and checked seems the motor is no longer working. But i can manually close or open the flap. I don't have immediate plan to fix it. So, untill then should I keep it as recircul...

Peter
I doesn't seems so. But i checked the spark plugs, they don't get power.

Engine doesn't start after revving for red line. 7000rpm

My 406 is 1999 1.8 manual version. Yesterday morning i tried to start the car didn't start (didn't even cranked) But after few hours i tries again and it started up. Then I reved to red line while in neutral. After hitting redline engine stopped. Now it's only cranking and doesn't start up. I'm afra...
