Electric window problem after changing battery.
After changing the battery, the windows are misbehaving!! It affected all four electric windows whereby when closing they will only go up in stages, and send themselves back down again!! the back windows seem to have sorted themselves out, but the fronts are still the same! Is there some kind of res...

Good point, this car is used as a taxi, so once started, could be running for hours at a time. The reason for my question is this; I thought I had a glow plug problem, but after a few days, the battery was dead :!: New battery fitted, and she fires with no problem! Now I am wondering if a dodgey plu...

What is the average service life of glow plugs?
I think mine are due a change! Having to give her 2-3 doses of preheat before she fires.
The service history shows that they were last changed 110,000 miles ago I would have thought they should be well knackered by now.

I do enjoy the simplicity of the d8, the part is listed as a hub assembly, a very shiny bit with splines. It seems you just have to pull the old part out, and drift the new bit in (fingers crossed). I am holding out for the weather to change before i get the thing in bits, could be waiting a while!!...

Rear wheel bearing, anything to be aware of when DIY?
I am planning on replacing my rear wheel bearing very soon, have read and digested the Haynes on the subject, and it looks pretty straight-forward, anyone done this job, and is there anything to look out for, tips etc?
Incidently its a 1.9td d8 with drums on the back.
