Re: Stoooooopid question
Ah, I see. I have replied to your other thread regarding the bolts. Rebuild kits are available from eBay, I nearly bought a set but chose to buy new calipers instead as the price difference was negligible.... New bolts are not included in the rebuild kits. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=ht...

Re: Stoooooopid question
Wish I had £85, misses and 5 grandkids have wiped me out, bloody Christmas, bah humbug I did 2 rebuilds on my 407 SW Sport but was wondering about the bolts, don't fancy scrappy ones, can always cut them down if I go Screwfix, you wouldn't happen to know if they are tapered at the end or just normal...

Re: Stoooooopid question
I had to change the shoes as: 1. They were knackered and 2. Driver side brake shoe pin had popped and was rattling about 3. Had just read the excellent bolt and washer mod for the shoes and decided on doing that Decided if I was doing it I'd do the rear axle, followed guide on here on fitting shoes,...

Re: Stoooooopid question
Where the white plastic bit is there's a short bit of cable with a box on it, it;s this side that is slack, the other side with the cable with the long threaded end on is tight, was wondering if I can just fit new cable into the box as I assume you can't tighten it by turning the metal box bit.........

16mil rear caliper bolt (bog one on bottom)
Hi
Does anyone know if the slider kits from Big Red come with new bolts as I've rounded mine off, the hex one is fine, it's the bottom one or can I just go screwfix and buy 900 for a pound? so 16mm head, any idea how long? as mine is stuck in so can't measure it :-(

Thanks for the replies, I had a look at the guide but the cable doesn't look the same, it has a large but where cable from front feeds in, mine doesn't, let me see if I can upload a photo
