Re: HDi engines leaking oil (generally)
Has it got an aluminium sump? I only ask because my 2.2 hdi's sumps full of micro fractures so it seeps constantly from the bottom.

Re: Cost of Clutch? & Some Diagnosis / advice sought?
hi yep that's the cap and bearing I mentioned, on my 406 I had one seized solid and the other rusty and falling apart but it still moved but it used to make a weird noise like a metalised version of a creaky wooden ship kind off groan it's a hard noise to describe. Other parts which have the potenti...

Re: Cost of Clutch? & Some Diagnosis / advice sought?
The gearbox noise more than likely the bearing. if your handy with the spanners the belt shouldn't take long iirc I think you need a 16mm spanner and a 4mm drill bit. Before righting the steering rack off when you changed your springs ages ago did you replace the top caps and bearings? they rust and...

Re: The wonky £1K citron Citroën
left hand drill bit might work the bolt has two choices drill out or screw out plenty of wd on the threads or if you have access to a welder weld a nut on to whats left of the bolt the heat will help free it up.

Re: ABS fault - dodgy brake pedal
I have a feeling it's the abs pump in the last year I have nearly rebuilt the whole front suspension the only bits on the front that haven't been replaced yet are wheel bearings and the inner's and outer's on the steering rack as they are still tight. When I did my lower ball joints I checked my abs...

Re: ABS fault - dodgy brake pedal
I have a similar issue but with a half decent pedal and at slow speeds the weird noise and a twang is a bit disconcerting I've not been able to find the problem yet.

Re: Engine Breather issue??
No worries just take a look at any pipe that leads from the intake to the engine, because off emissions all engine breathers will lead to the suck side of the intake because then the crankcase will have a slight vacuum so any oil mist or ring blow by will get drawn in to the intake and not vented to...
