Re: Engine immobiliser fault

I vaguely remember someone taking the ID46 chip out of their key and taping it on near the aerial, (think this was to allow a different key/lock barrel to work with their car). Re: 406coupe central locking retrofit

For some reason i cant edit my former post? I wanted to add that when i searched for permanent +12V and GND to connect my central locking box i found possible wires on the green 16pin connector. BSI has permanent power through those wires. Wire no. 16, gray was +12V and no. 12 yellow/green is GND. I...

406coupe central locking retrofit

When i bought my 406C Pug i didnt much thought about keys and immobilizer. My main task was to convert the car to EV. https://www.406oc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=24902 I made a spare key in case i would lock original in the car... However after i was already driving it became apparent i cant connect...

Re: Peugeot 406 Coupe EV conversion

I am interested but I really need an idiot's guide... I'm a long-term petrol head so this is kind of an academic study for me. In my ignorance I thought the idea was to stick the motor, batteries etc. from an EV straight in and then the only difficulties would be getting the car's controls to talk ...

Re: Peugeot 406 Coupe EV conversion

I have made some small progress with mounting underbody panels that shield the central channel and both chargers under the rear seats from splash and sand.
