Engine bay is too hot

My 2.0 16v 406 had faulty stepper motor and TPS. I replaced the stepper with new Magneti Marelli one but didn't change the TPS. I notice that after about 30 minutes of driving engine bay is too hot. If I keep my hands on TPS and stepper for few minutes my fingers will be burnt. I want to know if the...

How to clean ac drain line?

My car is leaking water in to both front footwells and it should be from the ac drain lines because this happens even on sunny days. Do I have to remove the dashboard to clean it? Thanks in advance

Re: Center lock won't work after few seconds

I summarize your issues. After contact off and removal of key, after 30 seconds: - Radio loses all its memorised channels - Door puddle lights turn off - Central door locking does not work, key operates only mechanically opening one door at a time I looked in SEDRE (the DVD with the electrical sche...

Re: Mirror Controls

I also have a problem with side mirrors and seats. When I turn on the key sometimes seat move forward and mirrors are readjusting. My mechanic told it's due to the memory seats unit. You might want to check that

Re: Center lock won't work after few seconds

Maybe a blown fuse, from Haynes it looks like MF8 (maxi-fuse 8, "Passenger compartment fuse") or MF9 ("Built-in system interface") are good candidates to check. Maxi fuses are in the engine compartment fuse box (BM34). In some models, the maxi fuses cannot be accessed directly, they in a separate b...

Re: 406 meter panel light when ignition is off

Hello and welcome. I would look for water under the carpet on the right side front of the car - it may be dry on top but really wet underneath. I would then do a BSI reset, which may help. To do this you need to; Unlock the car and open the bonnet. Put the drivers window down and then lock the car ...
