Re: HDI 110 Estate Modifications!
Can't remember for sure. 900mm by 600mm I think? I simply used the square holes already available on the end of the subframe and the front cross member. I put a nut and bolt through each hole on the car first, did them up nice and tight. Then once the sheet metal is slid over the bolts you can secur...

Re: 2.0 HDI Down on power
Not sure, I think they are supposed to but I did read someone had broken valves when I was googling. If its a 16v head which I think it is, the rockers will be twice as much if they all break!

Re: 2.0 HDI Down on power
I found the issue. The rocker cover breather hose was split at the end and had simply come off the air intake, So it was sucking air into the system after the MAF.
Happy days that the engine is fine. I think the belt broke at least 3000RPM uphill so pretty lucky considering.

Re: Broken front spring
Good call, My mate has coilovers on his 406 coupe, told him no to. But he did and he regrets it now. I have apex springs and they improve the car no end. Used Apex before and swear by them, great balance of comfort, performance and price. Not too hard but just firm enough. My bearings were shagged t...

2.0 HDI Down on power
I have had the misfortune of a cambelt failure. I read into it on a few forums and pretty much every one said they never bend the valves, the rocker arms are designed to break. So off with the rocker cover and I found broken rockers, Great I thought; I will replace them and hope for the best. Which ...

Re: HDI 110 Estate Modifications!
Yeh I might stick to silver, although they are looking a bit tatty at the moment. Thanks for the help though. The Apex springs are very good, can't fault them. Had them on 2 cars now. They are noticeably firmer but by no means hard. Much reduced body roll. Actually better over speed bumps than the s...

Re: HDI 110 Estate Modifications!
I don't think the fly eye causes me any issues. Most streets are lit anyway and for those open roads I have 55w HID's in the main beam. I have no issues at all with the ground clearance even down dirt tracks. I think the 110 is fast enough for what you need really, the exhaust mod gives you a notice...

HDI 110 Estate Modifications!
Here it is in all its glory. A lot of car for £900 really. FSH and one lady owner. (Probably why there was nothing left on the clutch when I got it  ) Can you spot the elephant in the room? 8-) http://i798.photobucket.com/albums/yy264/Rob2859/406/P_20150129_100630_zps2jta1t8t.jpg http://i798.ph...

Unidentifiable gearbox oil leak
My HDI 110 is leaking gearbox oil. Can't tell where its leaking from. I Replaced the drivers side shaft seal, thinking that was the problem, but its not. Although there is oil all round that area.
But occasionally the clutch slips briefly if I put my foot down. Any ideas?

Re: New Yorkshire member
Yes it is very tidy, 170k on the clock but only one lady owner from new and full service history. I will be making a mini-project thread. Already begun some modifications. I will keep it in the dark at the moment to keep all you nosy people interested. I need some decent pictures of it first. At lea...

Re: Window anti pinch feature information?
I have tried but it doesn't want to go up, I will try lubing the seals. Failing that, if the mechanism is part of the motor I will see if the motor on my 306 fits. I could try trim the rubber seal, so its not so tight on the glass. But if it doesn't work I will need to buy a new seal. As water will ...

Window anti pinch feature information?
I have been looking for information but so far nothing has come up. I have bought some Heko wind deflectors, but the anti pinch feature is stopping the window from fully closing. I tried disconnecting the battery to re-calibrate the window, but to no joy. Ideally I would just like to unplug the sens...

Hello, New member here with a 406 HDI.
Not new to the HDI, had a 306 just recently that blew up in spectacular fashion. Before that I had a few 4x4's and a 206 so not new to Peugeots in general.
