Re: Battery charge fault and no heater fan

You think you can now access the information on your electrical schematics? D8 :?: Interesting, i always thought mine was a D9. 🤷‍♂️ I think you are right. But https://406coupeclub.org/Apps_BuildCodeTranslator.php says that D9 have a DAM number sticker on the door, D8 have it printed on the strut. ...

Re: Battery charge fault and no heater fan

Yes, that must be 8852. Build date: Friday, 2nd February 2001. Build code is on nearside front suspension strut under the bonnet, so it must be a D8 (D9 has a sticker on the door).

Re: Battery charge fault and no heater fan

My DAM is "385 2U5" , vin number is VF38CXFXA81270589 if you perhaps need it as well. That is not a valid DAM number? It translates to date of 27 may 1987. https://406coupeclub.org/Apps_BuildCodeTranslator.php shows where the sticker is located. I'm afraid I cannot translate the VIN number to the D...

Re: Battery charge fault and no heater fan

I removed the fuse 5A (under the steering wheel) that is for the Battery +ve signal for Built-in Systems Interface and everything starts working, the fan the battery charge fault is no longer displayed (except for the wipers)... Can you explain a bit more? Which fuse number is that? So if I underst...

Re: Battery charge fault and no heater fan

A similar topic seems to be https://406coupeclub.org/PHPBB3/viewtopic.php?t=42121 . Solution in that case was the fitting of a new alternator.

Re: Battery charge fault and no heater fan

Also it is a good idea to connect with PP2000 software via a Lexia cable on the OBD port (just google "lexia cable pp2000"). Read out the fault codes, especially those of the BSI.

Re: Dual mass flywheel?

I think your clutch OEM part no is 2004V1 (see number 1 here)

As far as I can see your vehicle does not have a dual-mass flywheel (but I'm not 100% sure).

Re: V6 TPS and Limp help

Hi and welcome :-) The OEM part number for my 2003 model year 2.0 HDI 110 is 1920X1 (see number 19 here ) Which is the same as for the 2002 V6 Coupe (see number 21 here ) After-market parts can be found here: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/1920x1 I think the not-revving is most probably cau...

Re: 2.0 turbo LHD gear knob part number

It looks like it's 2403AP from the catalogue I guess that is indeed the part you need. Not sure if Ebay links are ok but see here for a picture: The while plastic sleeve adapter seems to be added in case yours is the "earlier" model, with the thinner stick. But in your case I don't think you need it.

Re: 2.0 turbo LHD gear knob part number

Hi, I had a look around on my DocBackup (ServiceBox) DVDs but I cannot seem to find a single part number for the gear knob. There does not seem to be a separate LHD / RHD variant. The only variants I could find are those for the various vehicle types. And even for a single vehicle type, there is usu...

Re: Boot trim plugs + replacing aerial

mine is mounted at the front behind the windscreen (1997 estate) but I'm guessing the aerials are interchangeable? No that is a different one. I think that is just a simple radio antenna base, so without a GPS receiver. In that case the part number would be 6561 10 . And for that, the antenna itsel...

Re: Boot trim plugs + replacing aerial

But I don't think it will need replacement; the bad reception is due to the broken electronics inside the antenna base. If the screw base of the antenna is very dirty or rusty, you may want to clean it thoroughly with a good wire brush. The electric contact between the antenna and the base must be ...

Re: Boot trim plugs + replacing aerial

Does anyone know where to get the small grey trim "plugs" for the boot door trim? On my vehicle (2003 Estate) these were also knackered. I found the OEM part no. to be 6995AC. Found here or just Google for it. In the end I got them for free at a local scrap yard. Does anyone know what the Peugeot p...

Re: PP2000 or Diagbox 9.85, 9.91, etc

I'm sorry, seem to have missed this post. I can only say what my (working) setup is. Maybe you can use the same setup, maybe you need to set up something different. My laptop is an HP running Windows 10 (22H2 to be more precise). I am running PP2000, not DiagBox. I installed it from the "CD2.ZIP" fi...
