Can anyone advise on the ability to remove the old clarion radio/cd player, and install another make?
What do I need to do to fit it properly so it looks OK in the dash?

Thanks

Do you mean like an aftermarket Pioneer or something?
If so, you only need a fascia infill which is about £8 on eBay ( I had one before and the fit and colour match was good )
You will loose the remote stalk function, unless you buy an expensive patch lead, and your display won't show the tracks or station etc - but this will be displayed on the radio anyway.
I like the standard Clarion, but each to their own.
I've just fitted a dab Pioneer into my T4, and I'm impressed with it - £70 ex display from Halfrauds.

If you look on Ebay you should be able to find a fitting kit for not a lot of money, I have a Kenwood in one of mine, sounds brilliant but you don't get the remote control or display on the dash but as the Kenwood and most others have a proper rotary volume control I don't miss the remote, they also have their own display of course.
There may possibly a conversion kit which will enable the remote and display but I don't know of one.
