...and I can't get hold of anyone to fix it.
Something seems to be stopping posts (do I look like I know how a bulletin board works?) but in the meantime, if you go to post you will see some options below the text box, tick
Disable BBCode
Disable smilies
Do not automatically parse URLs
it seems like getting rid of these enables the post to go ahead.
Now, how do I make this an announcement?
Please see the response below. Cheers. Nick

Right, first off, Sorry to Steve for editing his post. I'm never one to edit something I'm not meant to - but its just so there's a clear link to this post.
So, apologies. This was all my fault. A very long story boring is that I updated the server side software to the latest version of PHP (amongst other things) and quickly checked here to make sure the site was still up. I didn't try posting or other tasks, as it appeared to be fine. This was a few days ago.
I was contacted by Dai because of the issues, and done some digging. Turns out we were also running an older version of phpBB which was (for some reason) still beign reported as current. That version of phpBB was not compatible with the new version of PHP.
So, queue lots of updates, editing files, and a (massive) database migration, and here we are.
This version of phpBB breaks a few things, including tapatalk support. I'll look into re-enabling that, however its Saturday night and I've spent a few hours getting the forum back up and running. It will be fixed, as well as anything else you fine folk find that's broken. I'll create a new post where people can report any issues and post the link here.
Cheers!
