Re: The 'who owns a 406' survey thing; for all members

Seriously considering ditching the 407 and getting a 1.9 to run on veg.
Doing 30k per year 40p/l at 45MPG compared to 120p/litre as 65MPG comes out at about £100 per month

Re: DMF gone

 Agreed: probably best to do it rather than buy another car as you're just swapping problems that you do know about for problems that you don't know about. Those prices are a bit steep. I had the DMF on my 407 replaced for less than that. Is it worth considering a solid flywheel? The 110 seems ...

Re: Oh noes - the MOT man will be looking for DPF's

"It is an offence, under the Road Vehicles Regulations to use a vehicle which has been modified in such a way that it no longer complies with the air pollutant emissions standards it was designed to meet". 406's pre-date the emissions standard by some years, so only have to meet the same standards ...

Re: Advice on niggly issues...

There's this too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291765968246 Are you sure? That says 1920HH. I noticed a lot of the descriptions say 2.2 HDi but it's not included in the cars list. Why do they have to make so many bloody different parts for, erm, the same part :x Just how many different MAF sensors doe...

Re: More french chod

Very nice. Love the cream leather.
I very briefly drove one belonging to a chap who came for a PP2k session. Vanilla 2.2. You certainly wouldn't want to be dragging it around with a 2.0 110.

Re: Advice on niggly issues...

Is it 1920LK? (1920HH for 2.0 HDi)
Neither Euro nor GSF seem to have one, and they're hard to find on eBay.
Cheapest I could see is £80 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171376889437

Re: A little more vrooom

110 with DPF? Rumoured to exist, but isn't this the first one we've actually seen?

Remapping should be really straightforward as the Bosch EDC15 is now very well understood.

As above, you should be able to read and write maps yourself via the OBC port.

Re: antipollution fault code

"antipolution fault" or "engine antipolution system defective" is a generic error message that's caused by dozens of different problems. To work out what's going on you need to get the fault codes read, ideally using Peugeot Planet 200o software. According to the fault code list : P0230: Fuel Pump P...

Re: Advice on niggly issues...

Definitely worth going for a drive with the graphical parameter measurements running (note it doesn't show the graph until after you stop recording -- it doesn't appear in real time which sometimes makes people think that it's not working). http://www.406oc.co.uk/download/file.php?id=3137 (1) Air fl...

2.2 HDi additive reset in PP2K

How?
Can't find it anywhere!

"PEF Maintenance" looked promising but it wouldn't accept the vehicle mileage.

Anyone know how to do it?

Strictly 5W-30 C3 in the DW12B
seems that it's getting thinner...

As I understand it, thinner oil means better fuel efficiency at the cost of the possibility of engine life...
