Please don't turn into my brother, I'm sure he'd drive 10 miles rather than wait 30 seconds at traffic lights

What's wrong with Lemons? Same bleedin' company as what makes our motors... Had a couple of BXs myself - 16 valves, went like shot off a shivel. Handling was a bit wierd on the mark 2 but the mark 1 was on rails. Anyway, the suspension, once I had to stop off for something, can't remember what, but ...

Pimp my ride!

but you could get suspension that you can alter the height up and down with? Well, there is that. All you'd need are the hydraulic dampers, the hydraulic pumps and some hefty batteries to power it all. You'd probably need to import all this from the US but look on the bright side: will all that ext...

...the glass roof was the best toy I've seen for a while. But I didn't think it left that much light in. Apparently they leak too. One would be useful here, they're a bit stingy on traffic lights and generally only put them on your side so if you're at the front you have to crane your neck to see t...

You bough a car with no keys and no logbook? Hmm...

Well, ok, the ignition switch, the lights just shouldn't stay on with the key out!

Not that I'm aware of. I was actually seeing if anyone screamed "what the fux that?", I'd never even looked at a 406 in the UK so I was wondering if there were any major cosmetic differences or anything. Other than that, yes, it's left hand drive, although I can reverse the pics if this makes anyone...

  Sounds like your ignition lock's mangled! I hope it came with a logbook...

I think you'd need someone with the right gear to introduce the key to the car, I doubt your average locksmith would have this (a couple of phonecalls would tell you).

I'd change the fuse anyway (you never know, plus my eyesight's pretty crap) and check that connectors haven't pushed out the back or anything. Also have a quick look at the rest of the fuses too (manufacturers seem to change stuff about without telling anyone). I'm looking at a Haynes here and it's ...

Yep, take the bit off with 12 V written on it, looks like it's been off before 'cos it's got a worm drive clip on it. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is not to drop this down the back of the engine :D It's a tad fiddly. I seem to remember the thing's all held on with a couple of 10mm b...
