Re: Fuel Filler Flap

In my opinion the clothes peg spring is much too strong and causes further little plastic bits to break off later on? Get a piece of silicon tubing around 1/2" in diameter. I used a bit off one of those stretchy keep fit bands - about 3" long. I punched a 4mm hole right through in the middle of the ...

Re: WANTED: Brembo calipers and starfish alloys.....

Nearly there! I've hung about for the calipers because most have been too expensive or in a state that they needed expensive rebuild. Then up steps Adrian from BB Autos who gets a massive thank you and thumbs up! Not only are they in very good condition but complete with discs and hoses - the fact t...

Water in the footwell...

I've seen loads of posts about water in the footwell causing loads of electrical faults for folks. I've just bought another car and noticed in the paperwork an old bill for similar electrical work and wondered how the water could possibly get in there? Whilst doing jobs on the car during lockdown, I...

Re: Power fold mirrors....

Thanks Kelv, the drivers door one is cracked and a small piece from the main lump is missing. Still works and the clip on painted cover is ok, so I'll keep an eye open on eBay for a replacement. Cheers buddy.

Re: WANTED: Brembo calipers and starfish alloys.....

Many thanks for all of that Kelv, you've given me much to research. I'm not so bothered in the looks department and have a lead on a set of 16" starfish which are in very good condition so I'll see where that goes. They were taken from a V6 coupe and also have decent tyres on so they might be worth ...

Re: WANTED: Brembo calipers and starfish alloys.....

Thank you for that info Kelv, it is just what I wanted - I won't feel as stupid when I go looking now! Is there a preferred wheel and tyre size with regard to filling the arches and improving ride or handling? Any Coupe wheels names that would avoid the need for spacers? Much appreciated - Geoff.

Re: WANTED: Brembo calipers and starfish alloys.....

My main interest is improving the braking distance as I feel the standard car is a bit wanting in that department? I was looking at the starfish 15" alloys only because they seem to be compatible with Brembo. Would either of your alloys suit the fitting of Brembo to an estate? My knowledge of these ...

*Sorted*: Brembo calipers and starfish alloys.....

........I've just added to my collection and bought a rather nice, low miles 2003 Exec estate. I am hoping to find and fit a set of alloys suitable for the estate with regard to fitting Brembo front callipers. If anyone knows of suitable parts, or has some for sale at a fair price, I would appreciat...

Just a line to bump Ady's post. I have met and dealt with Ady and can assure members that he is a genuine nice bloke, very knowledgeable and has a ton of 406 bits. I would not hesitate to deal with again and highly recommend. Best regards, Geoff.

Pop round to your local equestrian centre and get a tin of leather saddle soap - you can buy it on evilbay as well. Regards, Geoff.

Idiot neighbour...

I'm depressed - I mean I really am - have suffered for years. So I keep myself to myself and try not to annoy anyone. Except it seems the idiot next door. He constantly parks inches from my bumper then sits all over my bonnet while he struggles to get his shopping out of his boot. I've got loads of ...
