Go to knowledge base & see crazy electrics

Failing that might be that your battery is failing, this can cause strange electrical problem's

Re: MoT failed, needs servo

Just one thing... changing the servo on a 406 is a MONGREL job with the engine in... ask me how I know! If I do it again, it will be engine out!! :? I watched whilst one was changed at a show / meeting on a 3.0 V6 coupe  If you think that's a MONGREL of a job then scrap your car & for...

Re: Auto to manual

I know the BSI and engine ecu will throw a wobbly if they don't see the a/t ecu. Apparently there's a way to switch it off once the engine's started. I don't think the engine is physically different, I'm told the V6's are though. Other than that, I've heard that moderns are so over-complicated it's...

Re: Drivers side lock doesn't work

Just one thing to point out with regards to the rotating lock, You need to make sure your pushing the key into the lock firmly when trying to lock / unlock it I came across this issue on my estate when I misplaced my remote  I got my spare key put it in the lock & to my horror it just span rou...

Re: Rear Anti-Roll Bar Clamps Parts Availability

Front ones are available on EBay with tne bushes of course :cheesy:

But I've yet to find rear ones :(

I machined my own out of 6082 Alloy but that doesn't help you, sorry :?

Your best bet is to find someone breaking one with good ones :)

Re: After cambelt change

Yes, the pump timing will be out. Follow jasper's incredibly good guide, lock the flywheel, tension as per advice. Rotate engine at least half dozen times checking that the pins still go in after each revolution :) As a side note, my 150ish bhp one will fly round to 3500 rpm's but take an age to get...

Re: 90bhp hdi tuning anyone do private garage remapping cheap on here

The 90 is very easy to get quite a bit more power from. HDi tunning can give both the Bosch & Siemens ones 125bhp for £99.00 with no further mods & up to 155bhp with a few more mods. Yes you can fit a 110 intercooler, you will need the intercooler & the boost pipes each side. fattail on here is brea...

Re: Passenger side doors 406 estate code eged cheap

Estate & saloon rear doors are the same,
The only difference is the rear seat

I might have a full Rapier interior up for grabs soon, very good condition.
Don't want much for it :)

Re: New acquisition

As Ginger say's Welcome to the madhouse  I've had mine for over five years now great car but has it's quirks, as said a 90 can be easily got up to 125bhp Cheaply and 160bhp for a few quid more & as a 90 as stock was unstressed for the first 90k  I thought the 90's had the type B display w...
