Re: Anyone had a Smart Meter fitted at home?

Re: Anyone had a Smart Meter fitted at home?

I keep getting letters from Scottish Power regarding my opportunity to save* money on my bills by having a Smart* meter fitted - as they are in my area and it's in my interest to get one. I will keep politely declining this option - I'm not remotely interested in gadgets at all, and the cons certain...

Re: 406's.........the future is bleak!!

If I still had a 406 estate, which I still believe is one of the best looking, whilst ticking pretty much every box for me - and I needed to replace it, I would choose another 406, until such time that they are so rare or the price goes sky high... After that, I honestly wouldn't know where to look ...

Also, check the rubber seal all around the edge, it a bit is not quite fitted in proper then the boot is a bugger to shut...
Any debris in the bit that pushes down around the latch?

Re: Letter from America

Welcome back Doggy and Doggy family. That seems like quite the adventure - glad you had a good time and you got to see the ship.. 8) When Mrs Magic and me went to Canada on honeymoon, our first port of call was Niagara Falls, and like you I was surprised how close the hotels were ( we stayed in the ...

Re: Air re-circulation flap doesn't

Mine was jammed, I just forced it open as I've never used it in the closed position - I like fresh air....
The motor that changes the flap position is to the right if the glovebox, you need to remove the lid to see it.
It's matchbox size, and normally you would hear it working, or grinding.....

Re: Radio/cd player swap

Pop out the blank piece each side ( careful as they scratch easily ) and there are 2 torx underneath each one.
Undo these and it just pulls out.

Maybe that wire on the alternator isn't correctly refitted or fixed?
Not sure why economy mode hasn't disappeared after starting - most unusual... :?

Yes the front door will fit - the rear door won't.

Re: 90bhp hdi tuning anyone do private garage remapping cheap on here

The 110 swap isn't as straight forward as it sounds..
Intercooler, injectors, turbo, pipework, radiator surround, extra wiring loom for the solenoid etc etc...
This would give 110bhp - but the reasonably priced remap would give more power with no modification to your car.
To me, it's a no brainer.
