OBD help

As I now own 2 406 HDI estates (2001 and 2003) I think I should look to own a reasonably priced and accurate diagnostic machine. I see lots of references to PP2000, is this something I can purchase at a reasonable cost and is it easy to use? I need something to fault find and reset . Any advise appr...

406 estate rear shock absorbers

I am told that my rear shocks need replacing 03 406 estate, I have the shocks, can anyone explain how I access the top nut I can't work out how to get to the top of the wheel arch.

Thanks for the reply I think an abs sensor is reasonably cheap so good idea to try plugging one to try first

2003 406 estate abs light is on diagnostics say open circuit nearside rear. It cam on after I replaced the alternator and lifted the ecu out of the way. Hi I have a 2003 2.0 hdi Estate and have just bought a 2001 2.0 hdi exec Estate
Reverse on my 2003 is over to the left and on the 2001 it's over to the right and down is this normal?

Hi yes I think the leather is costed with something (as well as dirt in my case)
I have just bought the car and whilst the leather generally is not too bad it has a dirty drivers seat.
Also looking for tips on removing the smoke smell from previous owners and cleaning headliner if possible

Thanks for the reply central locking from the drivers door key seems to have sorted itself out now, for a while anyway. Will try the blade removal method mentioned assume it's just a matter of pushing it into the replacement fob.

Hi I have 2 things I need help with if I'm on the right forum Car is 2003 406 estate 1 central locking packed up from the key fob a long time ago but I could lock everything from the drivers door with the key. Today using the key only locks the drivers door so I am having to lock all the other doors...

Nice one Ginger Magic forgot I have had similar issues in the past, yes changed the drivers side bottom wishbone this noise seems like its the passenger side so will check it out.
