Re: Do D8 V6 Head Gasket Kits exist?

Cheers guys for the replies.

Yes the engine was used in Citroen's and Renault had it in the Laguna of the same period (hence the Renault engine cover you might be able to spot on mine!)

Do D8 V6 Head Gasket Kits exist?

Evening all, Can anyone advise where I can come by a decent quality head gasket kit for the earlier D8 3.0 V6 (ES9J4) please? I've typed it in on Google and there is apparently only one set on the whole of the internet... on eBay... made by a company called 'Ajusa'... who I have never heard of befor...

Hello again

It's been a damn long time since I posted on here but I need some help so thought it would be only good manners to poke my head in and say hi before I ask! Not a 406 owner per se, but do have an engine from one lurking in the front of another French motor, so near enough! http://img.photobucket.com/...

Re: V6 Engines

19's are great cars which for no good reason have been given the cold shoulder by the motoring press ever since they came out. I even picked up a Retro car price guide in 'Smiths yesterday, it had every numbered Renault in there except the 19! Thankfully there is a hardcore following of us at Retro-...

Re: V6 Engines

I used the Pug engine though, if I was truly brand-loyal I could have used identical engine from a Laguna :)

Re: V6 Engines

I'm actually in the process of creating a website about the car for folk to look at, mainly because I get asked about it so much! The only place I can point people to to see the blog is on a forum which requires lengthy sign-up etc. It will eventually end up online at - www.projectsilverstreak.co.uk...

Re: V6 Engines

Cheers for the replies fellas, I only ask because the Mk1 Clio V6 inlet, TB and engine cover I intended to fit in my project car seem to be a better fit on the later 210bhp engine than the earlier 197bhp which is in it currently. Nice to know that I could upgrade to the later engine without too much...

V6 Engines

Simple question - does the later 210bhp engine use the same mounts as the earlier 197bhp engine? And are they similar in terms of physical dimensions or is the later version much bigger?

Okay I confess, that's two questions. My bad!

Thanks in advance for any replies :)

Re: What engine and gearbox have I got?

Thanks for that Steve, it probably would have helped to say it's a manual gearbox, but what you've said sounds like the gearbox code the dealer gave me when I asked Pug for a price for new cables, although at £50 each cable, plus the fact the gearstick assembly is discontinued item, I may as well so...

What engine and gearbox have I got?

Hello guys and girls, I was wondering if you kind people could tell me which engine and gearbox (if possible) I have installed here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/gentlebenny/V6%20Conversion%20Pics/V619.jpg As you can see, it is not fitted in a Peugeot and I'm getting to the point where I n...

406 V6 top engine mount assembly (needed urgently!)

Hi guys, I'm using a 3.0 V6 Pug lump in an engine conversion, and the garage doing the work have rung me saying they could do with getting hold of the complete engine top mount and bracket assembly. Is there anyone out there with one spare they would be willing to sell for a few beer tokens? Regards...

That's great matey, just what I wanted to here.

I take it the shorter belt will fit to an A/C engine without issue?
