Well done lads..............soldering up the wires has solved the problem!!................AND.................it's cured the ABS light that had been on since I bought the car 3 months ago

Yes.............all 3 connectors and some relays are just beneath the throttle pedal. To be honest, as this is a huge achilles heel, perhaps someone could make a 'sticky' at the start of the electrical section for this and other common faults like the comm 2000. Peter n Ginge..............spot on!!......dry carpet n soaking wet underneath thanks to the foam sucking it all up.
I had to remove the front seat, cut the carpet out, what a NIGHTMARE n now all those cables that need cutting n soldering!!

Looked about for a replacement....................£820 got me a 52 plater 406hdi estate with 115K...........couldn't get a Honda or Toyota for that money!!....................anyway, seems to drive OK except the ABS light is on..............what's that likely to be?

Thanks for your replies..............I put a fuel pump regulator on about 2 years ago, new cam sensor and service last week. Hi gang, my 110bhp 53 plate hdi suffers from intermittant power loss, one day it'll be fine, the next it's hopeless. The MAF sensor has been disconnected for a year, no split turbo pipes, no fault codes. It'll rev past 3000 but it's as if there's a lawnmower engine under the bonnet or all the brakes...

Two on that list are camshaft sensor and air intake temp sensor...................are these easy to change?
