Trouble is there's nothing wrong with the 406 except the A/C has packed up and a rear door won't open,i just fancy a change but out of the frying pan into the fire springs to mind.My 406 has the same trim colour as your old one.

Mondeo 2.0/2,2 tdci

After many years of stirling service form the 406 Exec estate and at 160k miles i fancy a change (wash my mouth out),i am tempted by the MK4 2.0/2.2 Titanium sport estates,has anyone had any experience with the 2.0/2.2 Mondeo's,i'll keep my head down from the incoming flack! :roll:

They were OEM Peugeot hand brake shoes, , I've tried other makes in the past but got the best results with OEMones

I fitted genuine handbrake shoes,slackened off the cable at the handbrake lever end,adjusted the shoes up (within the hub) until slightly binding and backed off very slightly,adjusted the cable back up at the handbrake end once again untill the brakes shoes were just starting to bind and backed off ...

Plip key battery replacement

My mfd on my 2003 hdi has started telling me the plip key battery needs replacement,knowing French electrics is it just a simple task of changing the battery in the plip key or will it mess up something i.e. the central locking etc? :?

I have a non condensing boiler (ideal W2000),it's over 30 years old and in that it has broken down once which was a £1 "O" ring seal,it has no fan,no pcb,etc.Ok it might not be the most economical boiler in the world but it just hangs on the wall providing heat and hot water without any dramas. :D

I watched a youtube vid and an American guy had the same headlights but in a worse condition,he started off wirh 400 grit,800,1200,and finished off with 2000 then a polishing sompound,he got good results but he didn't seal the end product.

Just tried some Solvol Autosol but the lens seems to have some sort of coating on it. :(

Clearing up Dulled/yellowed headlights

This is not 406 based but i have just bought a pair of spare headlights for my E39 Bmw,the clear lenses are dull and yellowed,before i waste all my hard elbow grease with toothpaste etc what do people use for the best results?
