Re: and today i have mostly been...

No problem here.
Since Croatia became the 28th member state of the EU in 2013, all H+S legislation is exactly the same as here.
However, in all member states apart from the UK, none of the above is ever applied therefore crack on.

Re: advice on caliper overhaul kits needed

Bad luck. :(
It does happen occasionally. The quick/dirty fix is a 2nd hand strut from a scrappy.

Suggest you put the spare on that corner just to rule out a tyre issue, (I've been caught out before).

Re: Wheel Bearing roulette - Volvo woes

I think you've got to let it get to that state to positively identify which side is the culprit.
Bet you a Poundworld gift token that when you get the old bearing off it seems OK, but the problem will be solved.

Re: My error codes

You really need PP2k to be sure, but 99% chance all bar the glowplug one will be additive related.
Trouble with generic codes is they're just that.

It's fairly common for the additive tank wiring to get ripped off, (sometimes the tank as well). MIght be worth a look.

Tried re...

Re: New member in south wales

+1 It'll start without glowplugs in the dead of winter. They only really give you smoother idling for the first half minute. Vacuum leaks are the main bugbear. Most people simplify the vacuum system as far as possible, (mine now only uses 1 of the original 5 solenoid valves). Masses of relevant info...

Re: Wheel Bearing roulette - Volvo woes

I remember having kittens about a very slight clicking noise that I though might have been the beginnings of a wheel bearing issue with the Xsara I had before the 1st 406. Only a tiny noise, but I was going on a holiday trip to Biarritz..... Eventually dawned on me they might be able to fix a Citroe...

Hi & welcome aboard. 8)

I've run two 2.2 HDi's for almost 10 years now between them and dread the day when I'll have to put up with something else.
As GM says, between us we will have come across most snags and found ways round them, feel free to pick our brains.

Re: Cold Starting Problems

From personal experience if you want to prove the problem is due to a dodgy sensor without draining the system, get a new one and plug it into the connector without actually fitting it into the thermostat housing. Obviously this won't work properly as the coolant warms up, but it will prove or dispr...
