Re: and today i have mostly been...

Yes, that stretch of the A43 doesn't want for roundabouts, does it? ....My faith in friendly motorists restored, and they drive Citroen's :D Guess I'll have to work on the friendliness. The C5, after some new front tyres and wheel alignment is much nicer to drive and I haven't stalled it for ...

Re: Air filter question - 406 hdi 90 2003 plate

HI & welcome aboard Phillipe. 8)

I think both versions of air filter element are common, I would not worry about it as either style will prevent unwanted debris being digested by the engine.

Re: Autumn 2019 meet up?

I would be up for any of them, depending on timing - we're off on a little road trip to Spain 12th September, returning 1st October. 8)
Any w/end after that works for me - if people prefer earlier I'll understand/hope to catch you next time.

Re: A possible Dogmobile #4?

The dpf issues are easily and cheaply sorted and the mileage is reasonable. For me it's too far away, timings all wrong - we're camped near Newquay at the moment and a GLX with a dented door would be a bit of a let down after the execs.
Still like the look of a tidy 406 though.

Re: New car suggestions

Yes, they do have a nice ride and give an initial impression of utter smoothness. Ride is a bit firmer than the 406, but very well damped -they were marketed as a german car built in france in an attempt to lure the mainstream buyers. My trip computer is a compulsive liar reporting anything up to 10...

32 degreees & 80% humidity? You can keep my share of that! Is it still hot a night - how do you sleep? The menagerie all look fine and dare I say it settled? Guess thay know which side their bread's buttered on. I currently have daytime custody of my two daughters' animals - a supersize labrador and...

Re: 406 scanning codes

Sorry, I didn't realise you had carried out the actuation test. Wiring diagram for the RFN engine shows a "pulsair pump" with only 2 connections, (which must be OK if you can hear it run). It does have an "induction air pressure sensor", possibly this is how it monitors the pump? Might be worth chec...

Re: 406 scanning codes

It could just be the fuse for the air pump.
The ecu must "think" the pump is not working - it probably will not measure the pressure or flow, it is more likely to monitor the voltage

Re: Ebay Etc. Just "Run-In" 406s

It's maybe just be the way the light is reflecting off it in the first pic, but as Kelv say's it's a very popular colour so another bonnet should be possible. I'd have another 406 in a heartbeat if I thought there was any prospect of a tidy 2.2 exec with a few years in front of it. Anyways, how abou...

Reflecting on how quiet things have got hereabouts. Collected my new trailer today & stashed it in the campervan's storage spot for now. (Overpriced few square yards of derelict WW2 airfield c/w fences & cctv - someone had the luck or foresight to snap up). https://i.imgur.com/Eb0Qd8G.jpg https://i....

Re: The wonky £1K citron Citroën

Sounds like a result with the hose - my 406's aircon and my bro's power steering both did a year or two with similar repairs.

Re: Diesel gearbox in V6

The 407 gearbox will probably fit, but it may well be geared for 17" or 18" wheels and so might not give you the result you are looking for.

Re: New car suggestions

Hope your daughter found it easier with twins than us. Pure hell.... And no sleep. Not to mention a massive leak in my wallet. I don't really think so - my wife used to stay overnight with them 2 or 3 times a week so both parents could a get a night's sleep. IIRC that went on for about 6 months or ...

Re: Diesel gearbox in V6

Hello & Welcome to the forum. 8) I have moved your post as requested. It might help if you give details of your current engine and gearbox, (or the VIN code so we can find the information on service box) http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ Also, which gearbox do you want to use? - HDi 90 is lower ...
