Re: and today i have mostly been...

I don't get bullied too much in the hairdressermobile, of course there are the usual "out of my way, can't you see my superior German car" cooking the back of my head with their illegal headlamps but often I get a lorry coming up 2m behind me in the slow lane (wife and fuel consumption issues) flash...

Re: Ebay Etc. Just "Run-In" 406s

Crazy footwell connectors? I still see quite a few 406's, less than a couple of years ago (when they suddenly seemed to be everywhere) but still quite a few, some looking like golfballs but a fair few still looking exceptional. including https://i.imgur.com/gwCjNpT.jpg My old D9    I ...

Re: WANTED: Coolant degassing tank (D8 V6)

I had a "Google" about (other search engines available) and they seem like they're getting rather rare, other PSA cars with V6's use them but they all come up slightly different, wrong size spigots or spigots pointing the wrong way. Looks a damn pain to me. Searching "stainless degassing tank" just ...

Stop the rot pt.1 That afternoon I had to go shopping, but before I left Miloš as me for my chainsaw. Well, ok, but if you go near the walnut I'll use it to cut your legs off... When I came back he'd cut out the rotten board at the bottom of the l/h wall: https://i.imgur.com/gftCjiO.jpg He then lef...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

Pigsty floor I thought the plan would be to dig all the floors out, ram in a load of rubble and concrete over the top. Well, of course, they don't do it like that here. Miloš wondered why I'd want to generate so much extra work. The floors have collapsed as much as they're going to, we just need to...

Re: Crank pulley bolt problem

Lord knows! I reckon jasper's your best bet. It's another one of them "whatever I do will be wrong" situations but, without resolving it one way or t'other, you'll be driving a car that could go pop! at any moment. I reckon I'd try rocking the bolt back and forth, try and work it out bit by ...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

There's more to come  It does look interesting how it is, but it's a mess, even if it was re-pointed there's so much mortar spilled everywhere it'd never look right. I'm not too worried about that side but the front, where it's most visible, is covered in splodges of concrete and various othe...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

I've only had the two (so far...), the first was just watching telly. I tried breathing into a paper bag for a bit (does that ever help anything??) and then went for a walk up and down the road. After a while I calmed down but I still felt a bit jittery the next day driving, like something bad was g...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

I've bin back to the hostable today from some tests, more blood tests (do I have any left?), bone marrow biopsy and chest and sinus x.rays. I had a crap night's sleep worrying about the tests. Eventually I heard t'wife getting up and I thought it was finally morning. Wrong, 4:30am. T'wife came with ...
