Re: Coolant overheating

You'll have to investigate the water pump leak, it may be finished, it may just need a gasket (although it would be silly not to replace the pump while it's off. And timing belt, obv.) The overheating/cold heater is almost certainly air locks in the system, caused by the drop in coolant due to the l...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

Crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch, gone. Now is time for a worming pill... Ours don't eat them many, usually they just brong them in the house and release them  There's the occasional sparrow corpse too, but I don't really mind (flying mice) but I get upset when they get a redstart and they've ha...

Re: Remote locking ceased

Nah, they'd be just like bicycles in Amsterdam: take one, use it, throw it in the canal.

Re: GDPR emails

You think I'd trust a Croatian bank for anything? It's all UK stuff. Oh, saying that, I've just got one from Banggood and that's Chinese :?

Hopefully it's just about letting them fill our inboxes up with advertising crap, rather than anything important. Hopefully.

Re: and today i have mostly been...

I don't think our cats would take on a pigeon, they'd need to work together and they have as much "pack instinct" as a flock of vampires. I've had to clear up many a dead mouse or sparrow in that condition - wrap in 4-ply of kitchen roll and bin, at that size the details are too small to worry about...

Re: GDPR emails

I've had loads of them, I've no idea if they're important and the only time I tried to follow one (credit card co. so maybe important) the link didn't work. And I'm not keen on following links found in emails, they could be bogus

Re: and today i have mostly been...

I suspect the price of timber here is "probably" cheaper than steel (a common saying here is if the Croats moved to the Sahara Desert the price of sand would go up) but I'll have to investigate as and when. Interesting though, must Gurgle some images.... So, now I have to admit to being a bit of a t...

Re: Remote locking ceased

That's a result! :cheesy:

I think it was Doggy (apologies if it wasn't) had some problems hooking up PP to a car, turned out to be a blown fuse. I think PP is your best bet anyway, Loosing central locking after a battery misdemeanour is common.

Re: Add comfort module

I seem to recall a long while back over on the coupe club they found that it could be activated on early D9's but on later cars a lump of electronics had to be added. I think they cribbed it from Passion (the French 406 OC)

Re: 406 HPi

Must be worth a check, even if they look ok you could power down and do the disconnect/reconnect thing (aka reseat the connectors) while you've got the carpets up.

Wonder if it'd be worth doing that to the BSI, ECU and anything else that takes your fancy (yes, I know nothing  )

Time for an update? No? I don't care :P I've stripped the ceiling/floor boards out https://i.imgur.com/Oel67gi.jpg Another dirty, disgusting job. The boards here seem to be unused spares for the pigsty, they're so heavy all I can do is slide them about and roll them. Sadly they're propeller-shaped. ...

Re: Steel Wheel Bolts

Conversely... I meant to post on this thread but it looked like it had been resolved. I ran steel wheels on my winter tyres using alloy wheel bolts, the taper is different, however I covered many thousands of kilometers with them and these were even on the car when I drove it to the UK. I was warned...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

I suspect they'd be cleaner from the Mary Rose, these are saturated with pig effluent. I've just been looking at them with Miloš. Mrs. Even she's convinced they have no use. I thought maybe the dust under them would be good for the garden, so I stuck some in a pot with some tomato seeds. One has fin...
