Re: and today i have mostly been...

Is that one of those jobs where it can't be done all year so you need to do more when you can? Seems rather excessive to me anyway. I've kind of been neglecting this thread, I keep forgetting to take pictures of what I'm doing but... I made a pair of doors. Make frame for the doors https://i.imgur.c...

Re: Ebay Etc. Just "Run-In" 406s

Most moderns seem to have the coaxial slave cylinder, I've no idea what improvements it makes but from what I've seen in the workshop they all seem to go bad rather a lot. I've no ideas for you, in fact I'd be interested in suggestions too (although it's not like I'd have much choice, I wanted a van...

Re: Horn failure after COM 2000 repair

Dammit :x Thanks for telling me. I already posted them on Photobucket yonks ago but now they're putting a watermark all over everything. Simples, I thought, post them to Imgrrrrrr  And the album is... empty. What the f...? Uploaded again, post fixed. I thought I'd better link the pic...

Re: Horn failure after COM 2000 repair

Iffy diagrams here (now they are anyway) https://i.imgur.com/TzOqc4w.jpg https://i.imgur.com/90CLe1A.jpg These seem to be fairly accurate for most full-mux cars but I can already see it only lists one fuse for the horns, while Serdre says 2 (15 & 7) I'm afraid I've no idea which is correct (a...

Re: Horn failure after COM 2000 repair

Just a matter of running wires through the bulkhead... So are you saying it can’t be done? Will I need to replace the com unit then? This mux is a bit above my head. Anything can be done, it's just a matter of difficulty and expense. I can't remember how the horn is run on the com, It's too long ago...

Re: Horn failure after COM 2000 repair

I'm afraid it's relay 4 in the engine fuse panel, it's mux controlled from the BSI. I can tell you which connector the feeds exit on (cable 10PR-16-way green pins 7 & 15) and which wires (1500 & 1501), but I don't think you'll be wiring into the relay. Looking at the guide to refresh my memory, I th...

Re: Crank pulley bolt problem

Well done young man! I'll bet that's a weight off your mind. So it was just the loctite doing that? I suppose that's what it's for but it's not really meant to give you a nightmare. I suppose the sticky bits where were some of the loctite was on the bolt, some of it in the crank, and that was just f...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

'cos that's how far up the rot went. I think the plan was to replace the lot with blocks but when Miloš got out the back it wasn't as bad as he expected. I dunno, I think I would've preferred that as I'll never be able to get to it again :?

Hi there, welcome! :cheesy: Congratulations on your purchase (I promise to look at all the pictures when I have an hour or 2 later... )

I see you're from that beige place, rest assured you won't need to learn latin to hang out here (although some Welsh may be useful...)

Epic shedpics! Imgurrr seems to have thrown a wobbly with my uploads and scrambled them, so apologies if I cock this up... https://i.imgur.com/iIrUsPo.jpg Front door lintel thingy on acros /Stinky disapproves). Re: and today i have mostly been...

So all the codes were historical? Thank feck for that! The traction ecu must have seen the steering wheel pointing one way and the wheels pointing another and gone into meltdown. Bloody overcomplicated cars, dontchalovem? I've been watching SMA on youtube for his diagnostic stuff, it's fascin...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

I've been thinking about a cat flap for the batcave, however they had if for years as a play area/hunting ground/huge litter tray, so maybe I should control their use and not give them free access. I've just taken those roof bars off, sprayed chain lube (sticky silicon grease) inside and put them ba...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

As much pact instinct as vampires... Very occasionally there's a bit of a ding dong, usually Teatime & Srečko playing "I'm Top Cat" but nothing serious. They all hate it when a new kitten appears but that only lasts a week or so. Frankie's a bit of a pest though, whoever I feed he rushes up and stic...
